The Cobalt 242 is a study in genetics, following in the wake of its sister ship, the much-loved Cobalt 232, and all the family characteristics of ride and performance and obvious good looks are here. The addition of a porta potti is the 242's principal evolutionary component, its convenience multiplying through an optional electric porcelain head with macerator and a pump-out feature. A sink console, also optional, brings a new measure of daylong comfort, a practical counterpoint to all the luxury of the cockpit and its aft sunpad with adjustable backrest. Stem to stern, the 242 compresses form and function, with not an inch of wasted space. Storage is deep and wide and immediately accessible.
